Psychosexual and Relationships Therapy
Kintsukuroi is a Japanese ceramic art which aims to enhance the beauty and uniqueness of broken pieces through a Golden Repair.
Kintsukuroi is a beautiful metaphor for the work therapy does. Each therapeutic intervention aims to enhance the beauty and uniqueness of individuals who come with their concerns. Therapy does not take away what make people who they are, it helps them embrace it. That's the Golden Repair - we put the pieces back together and highlight the beauty of breaks, emphasising resilience.
Kintusukuroi teaches us to love and admire the beauty of our imperfections.
Relationships Counselling
There are various types of relationships: romantic, friendships, family, work colleagues, and many others.

No matter which type of relationship, building relationships is a process that requires mutual understanding. Learning to actively listen to another person is a skill that may be neglected over time, leading to breakdown in communication. Establishing trust and accepting someone for who they are and not who would want them to be are the foundations of positive relationships.

Relationships Counselling aims to support the process of re-establishing communication between partners.
Psychosexual Therapy
Often deeper issues of oneself, such as lack of confidence, or self-esteem, or holding deep rooted beliefs will manifest through various symptoms, including psychosexual ones.

Enjoying a fulfilling sexual life is an aspiration we all have because it enables us to be connected, something we yearn for as human beings. Sexual issues can be extremely distressing. The cause of sexual dysfunction is complex to understand as it is often a multi dimensional problem.
Psychosexual Therapy needs to consider the biological, psychological and social aspects of individuals to holistically consider their sexual issues.

Psychosexual Therapy aims to support the investigative process which unveils the root cause of the issues, and thereby find a resolution which will last over time.
My Approach
As a person, I embrace diversity at every level because it offers the opportunity to see things from an array of perspectives. I find it enriching and a source of personal growth.
In my therapy work, I apply similar principles and observe a pluralistic approach. This means that I don't favour a specific modality, I look for what is useful for my client.

I'm Lucie
About me...
For many years I have nurtured an interest on why people do the things they do. This led me to undertake a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with the Open University whilst working full time.
I have enjoyed helping people over the years, and decided to focus in an area which can be the source of great distress: sex and relationships, because often personal distress manifests in issues in these areas.
Seeking Support
Sexual dysfunction can manifest itself in various ways. Below is a list which categorise the most common type of issues in sex and relationships. I can work with clients who experience distress as a result of any of these categories.
My work is inclusive and as such anyone is welcomed in my practice.
